MAY 13, 2013: Richard Hauer, CTO of PING Works, has been re-appointed as a Sitecore MVP – one of only four in Australia and 104 globally out of a pool of over 5,000 certified Sitecore developers worldwide. Sitecore is a web content management system software company that provides enterprise website, intranet, portal and marketing automation software.
In announcing the list, Lars Nielsen, Senior VP Technical Marketing for Sitecore, says a Sitecore MVP is an individual with expertise who actively participates in online and offline communities to share their knowledge and expertise with other Sitecore partners and customers.
“The increasing amount of individuals that are sharing expertise and knowledge is reflected in the Sitecore community that is growing at a mind-blowing speed,” says Nielsen. “This is through more Shared Source modules released on the Sitecore Marketplace, loads of great articles and blog posts, a growing amount of Sitecore Usergroups around the world and more and more active usergroup members, an active community on Stack Overflow and a lot of activity on Twitter.”
PING Works’ Hauer says it is a great honour to receive an MVP for the second year running.
He says: “We’ve got a really strong local technical team and our developers really like working with Sitecore. This allows us to provide our clients with the tools to engage users, encourage and simplify interaction, and deliver meaningful insights about their customers’ needs and preferences.
“The projects we undertake tend to push the boundaries in one way or another, so we learn something worth sharing in virtually every project we run. We’ve got lots of great modules that we are excited about contributing to the Sitecore Community in the coming months through the expanding Sitecore Marketplace, in particular, we’re really looking forward to expanding on some of the great new features coming with Sitecore 7.”
The PING Works brand was launched in January 2013. It is the evolution of the high-end technical development company, 5 Limes – merging with a number of experts from a range of creative digital fields with whom the Sydney-based company had been partnering for some years. This was with a view to creating a full-service, end-to-end digital strategy and technology company.
PING Works’ Sitecore portfolio includes Panasonic, TAL, Insurance Line, Nestlé’s Purina and Optifast, Australian Energy Market Operator and Fat Prophets.
